A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO COMMEND AND CONGRATULATE MR. WILLIE GREEN, JR., OF RICHLAND COUNTY ON THE OCCASION OF HIS RETIREMENT AS SINGLE FAMILY PROGRAM DIRECTOR FOR THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE'S FARMERS HOME ADMINISTRATION.

Whereas, Mr. Willie Green, Jr., of Richland County received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture from South Carolina State University in 1964 and his Masters Degree in Applied Public Financial Management from the American University in 1977; and

Whereas, for the past thirty-four years, he has held numerous positions of responsibility with the United States Department of Agriculture's Farmers Home Administration (FmHA) which include: Orangeburg County Supervisor, Bamberg County FmHA Supervisor, Operation Review Officer, Multiple Family Loan Officer, and Supervisory Loan Specialist; and

Whereas, since 1992, Mr. Green has served as Single Family Housing Program Director for FmHA; and

Whereas, he is an Instructor/Director for the 3287th United States Army Reserve Non-Commissioned Officer Enlisted School; and

Whereas, Mr. Green and his wife, Carolyn, are the proud parents of two children, Genae Tranice and Willie the third; and

Whereas, he has distinguished himself with a lifetime of accomplishments and contributions to his community, State, and nation; and

Whereas, the members of the General Assembly would like to publicly recognize Mr. Green for his thirty-four years of service to the United States Department of Agriculture's Farmers Home Administration upon his retirement as Single Family Housing Program Director on June 1, 1999. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly, by this resolution, commend and congratulate Mr. Willie Green, Jr., of Richland County, on the occasion of his retirement as Single Family Housing Program Director for the United States Department of Agriculture's Farmers Home Administration.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Mr. Willie Green, Jr.
