A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO EXPRESS THE SINCERE GRATITUDE AND APPRECIATION OF THE MEMBERS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA TO MR. CECIL ARNOLD FOR HIS OUTSTANDING SERVICE AS A MEMBER AND OFFICER OF THE DARLINGTON COUNTY LIONS CLUB.

Whereas, Cecil Arnold has devoted his time and energy as a dedicated member of the Darlington County Lions Club for thirty years and has served as the Secretary and Treasurer for the past twenty-nine years; and

Whereas, this deserving servant is known as the heart and soul of the Darlington County Lions Club; and

Whereas, Cecil Arnold has devoted much of his life to his community and is truly deserving of the respect and admiration of all his peers; and

Whereas, Cecil Arnold was employed with Dixie Cup Corporation and after thirty years, retired in 1982; and

Whereas, Cecil Arnold honorably served his country in the United States Army during World War II in an exemplary manner and is a former Prisoner of War; and

Whereas, Cecil and his loving wife, Frances, are faithful members of Trinity United Methodist Church in Darlington; and

Whereas, the example of public service set by this truly outstanding man is a credit not only to himself and his family, but to his country, county, and State as well. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina express their sincere gratitude and appreciation to Mr. Cecil Arnold for his outstanding service as a member and officer of the Darlington County Lions Club.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Cecil Arnold.
