AN ACT TO AMEND ACT 1189 OF 1958, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO THE BOILING SPRINGS FIRE DISTRICT IN SPARTANBURG COUNTY, SO AS TO INCREASE THE BORROWING AUTHORITY OF THE DISTRICT.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
Increased borrowing
SECTION 1. Section 3(h) of Act 1189 of 1958, as last amended by Act 375 of 1977, is further amended to read:
"(h) To borrow not exceeding six hundred thousand dollars for a time determined by the board in anticipation of taxes. The indebtedness must be evidenced by a note or notes issued by the members of the board and the county treasurer. The full faith and credit of the Boiling Springs Fire District is irrevocably pledged for payment of the indebtedness."
Time effective
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
Ratified the 23rd day of February, 2000.
Approved the 25th day of February, 2000.
