A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO HONOR MR. MAURICE LEE LONG, A STELLAR EXAMPLE OF SOUTH CAROLINA'S EXCEPTIONAL CITIZENRY, ON THE OCCASION OF HIS BIRTHDAY AND RETIREMENT.

Whereas, Mr. Maurice Lee Long was born on February 18, 1936, the son of the late Willie, Sr. and Erma Long; and

Whereas, Mr. Long has been employed with Richland/Pacific Mills, Standard Trucking Company and Overnight Trucking Company; and

Whereas, Mr. Long served in the U.S. Army during the Korean and Vietnam eras; and

Whereas, Mr. Long is married to Willie Mae Roseborough Richardson, and they are the proud parents of five children and ten grandchildren; and

Whereas, Mr. Long is a known hard worker, a loving family man, a generous neighbor and friend, and a stellar example of South Carolina's exceptional citizenry. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly, by this resolution, honor Mr. Maurice Lee Long on the occasion of his birthday and retirement.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Long.
