A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO CONGRATULATE ALAN WARNER OF PICKENS UPON HIS RECEIPT OF THE "SPECIAL RECOGNITION FOR OUTSTANDING VOLUNTEERISM AWARD" PRESENTED BY THE SOUTH CAROLINA FEDERATION OF MUSEUMS.

Whereas, the members of the General Assembly are very pleased to learn that Alan Warner of Pickens is the recipient of the "Special Recognition for Outstanding Volunteerism Award" presented by the South Carolina Federation of Museums; and

Whereas, Alan Warner is a volunteer with the Pickens County Museum of Art and History, and this award is the equivalent of being named volunteer of the year. It signifies Mr. Warner's commitment to the arts and his work in helping to further cultural growth and development not only in Pickens County but throughout South Carolina; and

Whereas, this award was presented to Mr. Warner at the South Carolina State Museum at the awards luncheon of the South Carolina Federation of Museums held on March 16, 2000; and

Whereas, the members of the General Assembly, by this resolution, would like to publicly recognize and congratulate this outstanding South Carolinian on his receipt of this truly deserved award. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly hereby congratulate Alan Warner of Pickens upon his receipt of the "Special Recognition for Outstanding Volunteerism Award" presented by the South Carolina Federation of Museums.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Warner.
