A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

CONGRATULATING MR. WILLIS M. ROSS OF RICHLAND COUNTY ON HIS RETIREMENT FROM THE GOODYEAR TIRE AND RUBBER COMPANY, AND EXTENDING BEST WISHES TO HIM FOR A HEALTHY AND FRUITFUL RETIREMENT.

Whereas, Mr. Willis M. Ross of Richland County is a graduate of Columbia High School and attended the University of South Carolina; and

Whereas, he honorably served his country for three years as a member of the United States Army; and

Whereas, for the past twenty-seven years he has been happily married to Mrs. Anne Henry Ross, who is both a Certified Public Accountant with J. W. Hunt and Company and Chairman of the State Board of Accountancy; and

Whereas, the Ross' are the proud parents of two children: Stephen, a junior who attends A. C. Flora High School; and Jennifer, a sophomore who attends the University of South Carolina; and

Whereas, he is a member of Sherwood Forest Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church where he serves as an Ordained Deacon; and

Whereas, since 1964 he has been employed with the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company where he has held numerous positions which include: Assistant Store Manager, Store Manager, Service Manager, and General Service - Credit Manager; and

Whereas, the members of the General Assembly note that Mr. Ross is retiring from employment with the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company after more than twenty-five years of devoted service; and

Whereas, it is appropriate for the members of the General Assembly to pause in their deliberations to honor this distinguished son of South Carolina. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulate Mr. Willis M. Ross of Richland County, on the occasion of his retirement from the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, and extend best wishes to him for a healthy and fruitful retirement.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Mr. Willis M. Ross.
