A SENATE RESOLUTION

CONGRATULATING AND OFFERING APPRECIATION TO MISS CAROLINE BRIGMAN OF LATTA, SOUTH CAROLINA, FOR HER MANY OUTSTANDING ACTIVITIES AS A ROLE MODEL AMONG HER PEERS.

Whereas, Miss Caroline Brigman of Latta, South Carolina, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lavern Brigman; and

Whereas, Miss Brigman is a 1996 graduate of Latta High School, where she was the president of the student body, among her many noteworthy achievements; and

Whereas, Miss Brigman currently attends North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina, where she is seeking a degree in aerospace engineering; and

Whereas, Miss Brigman has won more than 35 pageant titles, including the Miss Bikini Wahini Pageant at the 1998 Sun Fun Festival held in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and since that time and in that role, she has been successfully promoting the Grand Strand area and tourism in South Carolina by attending a variety of parades, festivals and conventions. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That upon the motion of Senator Dick Elliott, the members of the Senate enthusiastically extend congratulations and appreciation to Miss Caroline Brigman for her many activities, making her a great role model among her peers.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to

Miss Caroline Brigman.
