A JOINT RESOLUTION

TO APPROVE REGULATIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF LABOR, LICENSING AND REGULATION, BOARD OF LONG TERM HEALTH CARE ADMINISTRATORS, RELATING TO INACTIVE OR RETIRED STATUS LICENSES; CONTINUING EDUCATION FOR RELICENSURE, DESIGNATED AS REGULATION DOCUMENT NUMBER 2353, PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE 1, CHAPTER 23, TITLE 1 OF THE 1976 CODE.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. The regulations of the Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation, Board of Long Term Health Care Administrators, relating to inactive or retired status licenses; continuing education for relicensure, designated as Regulation Document Number 2353, and submitted to the General Assembly pursuant to the provisions of Article 1, Chapter 23, Title 1 of the 1976 Code, are approved.

SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.

SUMMARY AS SUBMITTED

BY PROMULGATING AGENCY.

The Board of Long Term Health Care Administrators proposes changes to existing regulations which will enable persons who retire from the practice of long term health care administration to maintain an inactive license and also to allow administrators to carry over continuing education hours earned in addition to the required amount to the next licensure year. It further increases the continuing education hours for annual renewal of a community residential care facility administrator license and a dual administrator license.
