A JOINT RESOLUTION

TO MAKE A SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION FROM SURPLUS FISCAL YEAR 1997-98 GENERAL FUND REVENUES OF FORTY MILLION DOLLARS TO THE SOUTH CAROLINA STATE PORTS AUTHORITY FOR THE CHARLESTON HARBOR DREDGING PROJECT.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. There is appropriated from fiscal year 1997-98 surplus general fund revenues the sum of forty million dollars to the South Carolina State Ports Authority for the Charleston Harbor Dredging Project. Unexpended funds appropriated pursuant to this joint resolution may be carried forward to succeeding fiscal years and used for the same purpose.

SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
