To whom was referred a Joint Resolution (H. 4324), to provide that school days missed on September 15 and 16, 1999, by the students of the Darlington County School District, etc., respectfully
That they have duly and carefully considered the same, and recommend that the same do pass:

TO PROVIDE THAT SCHOOL DAYS MISSED ON SEPTEMBER 15 AND 16, 1999, BY THE STUDENTS OF THE DARLINGTON COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR SCHOOL YEAR 1999-2000 WHEN THE SCHOOLS WERE CLOSED DUE TO HURRICANE CONDITIONS ARE EXEMPTED FROM THE MAKE-UP REQUIREMENT OF THE DEFINED MINIMUM PLAN THAT FULL SCHOOL DAYS MISSED DUE TO EXTREME WEATHER OR OTHER CIRCUMSTANCES BE MADE UP.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, school days missed on September 15 and 16, 1999, by the students of the Darlington County School District for school year 1999-2000 when the schools were closed due to hurricane conditions are exempted from the make-up requirement of the defined minimum plan that full school days missed due to extreme weather or other circumstances be made up.
SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
