TO APPROVE REGULATIONS OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION, RELATING TO ADDITIONAL AREAS OF LICENSURE, DESIGNATED AS REGULATION DOCUMENT NUMBER 2396, PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE 1, CHAPTER 23, TITLE 1 OF THE 1976 CODE.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. The regulations of the Board of Education, relating to additional areas of licensure, designated as Regulation Document Number 2396, and submitted to the General Assembly pursuant to the provisions of Article 1, Chapter 23, Title 1 of the 1976 Code, are approved.
SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
The State Board of Education promulgated amendments to Regulation 43-54, Additional Areas of Certification. The regulation clarifies requirements for those individuals seeking a teaching certificate in South Carolina. The proposed amendment:
(1) eliminates redundancy regarding a teacher education program;
(2) clarifies the language regarding score reports;
(3) inserts the name of the office.
