REPORT:

That they have duly and carefully considered the same, and recommend that the same do pass:

A BILL

TO AMEND SECTION 40-3-250, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO ARCHITECT LICENSE RENEWAL, SO AS TO REQUIRE COMPLETION OF CONTINUING EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS AS A CONDITION OF RENEWAL.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. Section 40-3-250(A) of the 1976 Code, as added by Act 424 of 1998, is amended to read:

"(A) An individual and firm licensed under this chapter shall satisfy license renewal requirements as established by the board in regulation, which shall include continuing education requirements for individuals, and annually shall pay the required renewal fee on a date set by the board in order to continue practicing architecture in South Carolina."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
