A BILL

TO AMEND ACT 521 OF 1996, RELATING TO THE LAURENS, MCCORMICK, GREENWOOD, AND ABBEVILLE COUNTIES TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEES, SO AS TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF MEETINGS FROM TEN TO THIRTEEN THAT A MEMBER MAY BE PAID FOR ATTENDING.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    Section 2 of Act 521 of 1996 is amended to read:

    "Section 2.    The Laurens County Transportation Committee shall receive the payment authorized in Section 1 upon issuance of approved vouchers by its chairman. However, in any single fiscal year, the chairman may not approve vouchers which authorize payment for more than ten thirteen meetings for each fiscal year for a member of the committee."

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
