A JOINT RESOLUTION TO PROVIDE FOR AN INCREASE IN THE LEVY OF TAXES FOR SCHOOL PURPOSES IN DILLON COUNTY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1, 2001, AND ENDING JUNE 30, 2002.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Additional millage imposed

SECTION 1. The taxes which were imposed in Dillon County for school purposes for fiscal year 2000-2001 are reimposed for fiscal year 2001-2002; and there is imposed for fiscal year 2001-2002 for school purposes the following additional millages:

(1) general fund, 5.5 mills;

(2) teacher salaries bonus, 1 mill.

Time effective

SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.

Ratified the 5th day of June, 2001.

Approved the 11th day of September, 2001.
