TO HONOR PATSY BROWN EPPERSON OF MANNING, THE NEWLY INSTALLED PRESIDENT OF THE GARDEN CLUB OF SOUTH CAROLINA.
Whereas, the Garden Club of South Carolina has eight thousand members throughout the State. It is a member of the National Council of State Garden Clubs which is the largest volunteer gardening organization in the world; and
Whereas, the Garden Club of South Carolina is dedicated to the conservation of natural resources, environmental awareness, and the beautification of our State. One of its missions is to create schoolyard wildlife habitats in every school in the State; and
Whereas, the Garden Club of South Carolina has been blessed with dedicated, hardworking leaders. This tradition continues as the club installed its newest president in April 2001, Patsy Brown Epperson of Manning; and
Whereas, the House of Representatives recognizes this excellent volunteer organization and commends Patsy Brown Epperson as she assumes its presidency. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the House of Representatives honor Patsy Brown Epperson of Manning, the newly installed president of the Garden Club of South Carolina.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Patsy Brown Epperson.
