A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO COMMEND THE MEMBERS AND COACHES OF THE WILSON HALL BARONS, FROM SUMTER, SOUTH CAROLINA, UPON WINNING THE SOUTH CAROLINA INDEPENDENT SCHOOL ASSOCIATION (SCISA) AAA REGION BASEBALL STATE CHAMPIONSHIP AND TO RECOGNIZE THEM FOR SUCH AN OUTSTANDING SEASON.

Whereas, the South Carolina House of Representatives is pleased to learn that the Barons of Wilson Hall won the 2001 SCISA AAA Region Baseball State Championship this past season; and

Whereas, the Wilson Hall Baseball Team finished with a record of twenty-four wins and only six losses this season while en route to winning their second straight state championship; and

Whereas, the Barons rode through the season on great pitching and timely hitting, a sure mark of a strong team and good coaching. Even though Wilson Hall is losing some good senior players to graduation, they look forward to competing next year for their third straight state championship; and

Whereas, the Wilson Hall Barons Baseball Team has capped off an exceptional run of two straight state championships. It is most appropriate that the South Carolina House of Representatives pause in their deliberations to honor and commend the Wilson Hall Barons Baseball Team on such an outstanding season and performance. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, commend the members and coaches of the Wilson Hall Barons, from Sumter, South Carolina, upon winning the South Carolina Independent School Association (SCISA) AAA Region Baseball State Championship and recognize them for such an outstanding season.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Wilson Hall.
