TO AMEND SECTION 61-6-2010, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO PERMITS FOR SUNDAY MINIBOTTLE SALES, SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT THE DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE MAY ISSUE SUCH PERMITS WITHIN THE ENTIRE CORPORATE LIMITS OF A MUNICIPALITY IF SUCH PERMITS MAY BE ISSUED IN ANY PART OF A MUNICIPALITY PURSUANT TO A COUNTYWIDE REFERENDUM AND TO GIVE THIS PROVISION RETROACTIVE EFFECT.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Section 61-6-2010 of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Act 391 of 2000, is further amended by adding at the end:
"(D) If the temporary permits authorized by this section may be issued in a municipality pursuant to a countywide referendum, then such permits may be issued within the entire corporate limits of the municipality including any territory of the municipality extending into an adjacent county."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor and applies to a municipality in which permits may be issued for Sunday minibottle sales pursuant to countywide referendum held both before and after the effective date of this act.
