The House assembled at 10:00 a.m.
Deliberations were opened with prayer as follows:

Let us pray that we may not love ourselves so much that we fail to love God supremely and our fellowmen even above ourselves. May we not be so lost in our self concern that we fail to be concerned about the needs and hopes of those around us. May we not rely on our own strength so much that we fail to know that Yours is the power to guide and sustain us. Grant unto us the spirit of love and good will, that our minds are open to Your truth and our hearts full of faith in You. We ask this in the name of the Lord. Amen.

After corrections to the Journal of the proceedings of yesterday, the SPEAKER ordered it confirmed.
