To whom was referred a Bill (S. 205) to amend Section 1-31-20, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, relating to the meetings of the Minority Affairs Commission, etc., respectfully
That they have duly and carefully considered the same and recommend that the same do pass:

TO AMEND SECTION 1-31-20, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE MEETINGS OF THE MINORITY AFFAIRS COMMISSION, SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT THE COMMISSION MUST MEET QUARTERLY AND AS THE CHAIRMAN FINDS NECESSARY INSTEAD OF MEETING AT LEAST MONTHLY.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Section 1-31-20 of the 1976 Code is amended to read:
"Section 1-31-20. The commission
shall must meet at least monthly quarterly and at other times as the chairman determines necessary to study the causes and effects of the socio-economic deprivation of minorities in the State and to implement programs necessary to address inequities confronting minorities in the State."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
