A JOINT RESOLUTION

TO PROVIDE THAT THE SCHOOL DAY MISSED BY THE STUDENTS OF EASLEY AND DACUSVILLE AREA SCHOOLS ON APRIL 26, 2001, NAMELY BY STUDENTS AT CROSSWELL ELEMENTARY, DACUSVILLE ELEMENTARY, DACUSVILLE MIDDLE, EASLEY HIGH, EAST END ELEMENTARY, FOREST ACRES ELEMENTARY, GETTYS MIDDLE, MCKISSICK ELEMENTARY, NORTHSIDE CHILD DEVELOPMENT, SIMPSON ACADEMY, AND WEST END ELEMENTARY BECAUSE OF A WATER LINE BREAK BE EXEMPTED FROM THE MAKE-UP REQUIREMENT OF THE DEFINED MINIMUM PLAN PROVIDING THAT FULL SCHOOL DAYS MISSED DUE TO EXTREME WEATHER OR OTHER CIRCUMSTANCES BE MADE UP.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    The school day missed by the students of Easley and Dacusville area schools on April 26, 2001, namely by students at Crosswell Elementary, Dacusville Elementary, Dacusville Middle, Easley High, East End Elementary, Forest Acres Elementary, Gettys Middle, McKissick Elementary, Northside Child Development, Simpson Academy, and West End Elementary because of a water line break is exempted from the make-up requirement of the defined minimum plan providing that full school days missed due to extreme weather or other circumstances be made up.

SECTION    2.    This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
