A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO RECOGNIZE AND HONOR MRS. PEGGY JAMES TYLER FOR TWENTY YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE AS A MEMBER OF THE SCHOOL BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF ORANGEBURG SCHOOL DISTRICT FOUR.

Whereas, the members of the General Assembly are pleased to learn that Mrs. Peggy James Tyler will be honored for twenty years of dedicated service as a member of the school board of trustees of Orangeburg School District Four; and

Whereas, she began her career as a physical education and health teacher approximately thirty-four years ago and has taught in the Denmark area schools. She has received her Masters in Counseling Education and holds a principal's certification from the State of South Carolina; and

Whereas,    she has been on the Orangeburg Consolidated School Board since 1984, and she was recently elected Director of the South Carolina School Board Association for Region Seven which serves Orangeburg Consolidated Districts Three, Four, and Five, the Calhoun region, and Sumter Districts 2 and 17; and

Whereas, she is currently the Director of the Alternative School in Allendale and has done an outstanding job in this capacity; and

Whereas, the members of the General Assembly, by this resolution, would like to publicly recognize this outstanding lady for her distinguished career in education and her exceptional service as a member of the board of Orangeburg School District Four. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly recognize and honor Mrs. Peggy James Tyler for twenty years of dedicated service as a member of the school board of trustees of Orangeburg School District Four.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mrs. Peggy Tyler James.
