TO REQUEST THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO NAME THE BOB GRISSOM PARKWAY CONNECTOR-HIGHWAY 17 BYPASS OVERPASS IN HORRY COUNTY IN HONOR OF THE LATE PRIVATE FIRST CLASS JOSEPH JOHN "JOE" MCGARRY OF THE MYRTLE BEACH POLICE DEPARTMENT, AND TO INSTALL APPROPRIATE MARKERS OR SIGNS ALONG THIS OVERPASS CONTAINING THE WORDS "PFC JOE MCGARRY OVERPASS".
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the members of the South Carolina General Assembly request the Department of Transportation to name the Bob Grissom Parkway Connector-Highway 17 Bypass Overpass in Horry County in honor of the late Private First Class Joseph John "Joe" McGarry of the Myrtle Beach Police Department, and to install appropriate markers or signs along the overpass containing the words "PFC Joe McGarry Overpass".
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Department of Transportation.
