A JOINT RESOLUTION TO PROVIDE FOR AN ELEVEN MILL INCREASE IN THE LEVY OF TAXES FOR SCHOOL PURPOSES IN DILLON COUNTY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1, 2003, AND ENDING JUNE 30, 2004; EIGHT OF WHICH MUST BE USED FOR SCHOOL OPERATIONS AND THREE FOR DEBT SERVICE.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
Additional millage authorized
SECTION 1. The taxes which were imposed in Dillon County for school purposes for fiscal year 2002-2003 are reimposed for fiscal year 2003-2004; and an additional eleven mills are imposed for fiscal year 2003-2004, eight of which shall be for school operations and three of which shall be for debt service.
Time effective
SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
Ratified the 28th day of May, 2003.
