VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO EXTEND THE APPRECIATION OF THE MEMBERS OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES TO LIEUTENANT COLONEL FRANK K. BENJAMIN FOR HIS YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND MOST RECENTLY AS DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS OF THE 621 MOBILITY OPERATIONS SQUADRON AT MCGUIRE AIR FORCE BASE IN NEW JERSEY.
Whereas, it is with great pleasure that we recognize the achievements of those who are dedicated to helping defend our great nation in times of war and peace to ensure the safety of our citizens; and
Whereas, Lieutenant Colonel Frank K. Benjamin is a graduate of the University of South Carolina and was commissioned through the Reserve Officers Training Corps in 1986; and
Whereas, after earning his navigator wings in 1987, Lieutenant Colonel Benjamin was stationed in Charleston where he excelled in his duties and became Chief of Tactical Employment Operations along with his other responsibilities; and
Whereas, in 1995, Lieutenant Colonel Benjamin received his first Headquarters assignment as the Command Chief, C-141 Navigator of the Air Mobility Command Directorate of Operations, from which he demonstrated his leadership, mastered the operational art of war, and quickly accelerated his position through many rewarding assignments including Chief of Mobility Program Integration, Headquarters Air Force Plans and Programs at the Pentagon; and
Whereas, as the Director of Operations, 621 Air Mobility Operations Squadron, McGuire Air Force Base New Jersey, Lieutenant Colonel Frank Benjamin currently heads the worldwide operational activities of the Air Mobility Division of the Air Operations Center that monitors and directs the execution of mobility and air refueling assets in support of the Joint Forces Air Component Commander; and
Whereas, Lieutenant Colonel Benjamin is married to the former Rena Stevens of Saluda, and they have four children, Kendall, Brian, Austin, and Kelvin; and
Whereas, we are pleased to be able to recognize such an exceptional individual as Lieutenant Colonel Frank K. Benjamin. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives extend their appreciation to Lieutenant Colonel Frank K. Benjamin for his years of service to the United States of America and most recently as Director of Operations of the 621 Mobility Operations Squadron at McGuire Air Force Base in New Jersey.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Lieutenant Colonel Frank K. Benjamin.
