VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
EXPRESSING THE CONGRATULATIONS OF THE MEMBERS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY TO THE CONGREGATION, DEACONS, AND CLERGY OF THE LANGSTON MEMORIAL BAPTIST CHURCH IN CONWAY, IN HORRY COUNTY, ON THE CONSECRATION OF A NEW CHURCH SANCTUARY.
Whereas, the members of the General Assembly note with pride the consecration of a new church sanctuary for Langston Memorial Baptist Church of Conway in Horry County; and
Whereas, this vibrant church, which observed the fiftieth anniversary of its founding in 2003, undertook the construction of this new sanctuary after overcoming seemingly insurmountable obstacles that stood in the way; and
Whereas, with prayer, faith, and sacrificial giving, these obstacles were overcome and the prayers have come to fruition and a beautiful and modern new sanctuary has risen; and
Whereas, under the pastoral leadership of the Reverend Randall Jones, called to the church in November, 1976, this congregation and its lay leadership may take great satisfaction in their collective work to accomplish this task. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly by this resolution express their congratulations to the congregation, deacons, and clergy of the Langston Memorial Baptist Church in Conway, in Horry County, on the consecration of a new church sanctuary.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Reverend Randall Jones, Pastor, Langston Memorial Baptist Church in Conway, South Carolina.
