A BILL

TO REQUIRE EACH PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOL TO INCLUDE ON THE REPORT CARD A CUMULATIVE GRADE POINT AVERAGE CALCULATED ACCORDING TO THE UNIFORM GRADING SCALE FOR ALL SCHOOLS ATTENDED.

Amend Title To Conform

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    Section 59-5-68 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding a new paragraph to read:

"Each report card issued to public school students in grades ten through twelve is to include a cumulative grade point average calculated according to the uniform grading scale. The cumulative grade point average must include all schools attended."

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
