A BILL

TO AMEND SECTION 7-7-370, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE DESIGNATION OF VOTING PRECINCTS IN LEE COUNTY, SO AS TO REVISE AND RENAME CERTAIN VOTING PRECINCTS IN LEE COUNTY, DESIGNATE A MAP NUMBER FOR THE MAP ON WHICH LINES OF THESE PRECINCTS ARE DELINEATED AND MAINTAINED BY THE OFFICE OF RESEARCH AND STATISTICS OF THE STATE BUDGET AND CONTROL BOARD, AND CORRECT CERTAIN REFERENCES.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    Section 7-7-370 of the 1976 Code is amended to read:

"Section 7-7-370.    (A)(1)    In Lee County there shall be are the following voting precincts:

Ashland;

Ashland/Stokes Bridge

Ashwood;

Bishopville No. 1;

Bishopville No. 2;

Bishopville No. 3;

Bishopville No. 4;

Cedar Creek;

Cypress;

Elliott;

Hickory Hill;

Ionia;

Lucknow;

Lynchburg;

Manville;

Mt. Clio;

Rattlesnake Springs;

Shrocks Mill;

Schrocks Mill/Lucknow

South Lynchburg;

Spring Hill;

St. Charles;

St. Matthews;

Stokes Bridge;

Turkey Creek; and

Woodrow.

(2)    The division line between the voting precincts at Bishopville shall be is Main Street and Church Street, Bishopville No. 1 being the southwest corner., Bishopville No. 2 the southeast corner, Bishopville No. 3 the northeast corner, and Bishopville No. 4 the northwest corner.

(B)    The precinct lines defining the above precincts are as shown on maps filed with the Clerk of Court of the county and also on file with the State Election Commission as provided and maintained by the Division Office of Research and Statistical Services Statistics of the State Budget and Control Board designated as document P-61-04.

(C)    The polling places for the precincts provided in this section must be established by the Lee County Board of Elections and Registration upon approval of the Lee County Legislative Delegation."

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
