The Senate assembled at 11:00 A.M., the hour to which it stood adjourned, and was called to order by the ACTING PRESIDENT, Senator RYBERG.

THIRD READING BILLS

The following Bill was read the third time and ordered sent to the House of Representatives:

S. 1136 (Word version) -- Senators Leventis and Land: A BILL TO AMEND ACT 741 OF 1990, AS AMENDED, AND ACT 620 OF 1992, AS AMENDED, BOTH RELATING TO ELECTION OF THE SUMTER COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT BOARDS OF TRUSTEES, SO AS TO CHANGE THE FILING DATES FOR THE CANDIDATES TO FILE BY AUGUST FIFTEENTH TO CONFORM TO STATE LAW AND CHANGE REFERENCES FROM THE COUNTY ELECTION COMMISSION TO THE REGISTRATION AND ELECTIONS COMMISSION.

By prior motion of Senator LEVENTIS, with unanimous consent

MOTION ADOPTED

On motion of Senators MATTHEWS and HUTTO, with unanimous consent, the Senate stood adjourned out of respect to the memory of Mr. William Utsey, former mayor of Holly Hill, S.C.

ADJOURNMENT

At 11:10 A.M., on motion of Senator SETZLER, the Senate adjourned to meet tomorrow, April 13, 2004, at 12:00 Noon.
