A JOINT RESOLUTION TO PROVIDE THAT THE SCHOOL DAY MISSED ON SEPTEMBER 27, 2004, BY THE STUDENTS OF SCHOOLS IN HAMPTON SCHOOL DISTRICT ONE IN HAMPTON COUNTY WHEN THE SCHOOLS WERE CLOSED DUE TO ICE OR INCLEMENT WEATHER CONDITIONS IS EXEMPTED FROM THE MAKE-UP REQUIREMENT THAT A FULL SCHOOL DAY MISSED DUE TO EXTREME WEATHER OR OTHER CIRCUMSTANCES BE MADE UP.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

School day forgiven

SECTION    1.    Pursuant to the provisions of Section 59-1-430(B) of the 1976 Code, the school day missed on September 27, 2004, by the students of schools in Hampton School District One in Hampton County when the schools were closed due to ice or inclement weather conditions is exempted from the make-up requirement that a full school day missed due to extreme weather or other circumstances be made up.

Time effective

SECTION    2.    This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
