VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO CONGRATULATE MR. VERNON POTTENGER OF BEAUFORT COUNTY FOR BEING ELECTED AS THE 2005 PRESIDENT OF THE HOME BUILDERS ASSOCIATION OF SOUTH CAROLINA, A TRADE ASSOCIATION REPRESENTING OVER FIVE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED SOUTH CAROLINA HOME BUILDERS.
Whereas, the members of the General Assembly are pleased to learn that Vernon Pottenger has been elected by his fellow home builders from across the State as the 2005 President of the Home Builders Association of South Carolina; and
Whereas, in being chosen for this honor, he has received one of the top honors of the South Carolina home building industry, and has been given the honor and responsibility of being the top elected officer in the Home Builders Association of South Carolina; and
Whereas, he has brought positive professional attention to himself and to his profession nationally as a leader in the National Home Builders Association, locally as president of the Low Country Home Builders Association and member of the Beaufort County Planning Commission, and on a statewide basis in various leadership positions within the Home Builders Association of South Carolina; and
Whereas, the 2005 President of the Home Builders Association of South Carolina is a dynamic, hard working, and outstanding individual deserving of recognition; and
Whereas, home builders, such as Vernon Pottenger, are true professionals who are knowledgeable of the home building industry and are instrumental in helping South Carolinians achieve the "American Dream" of home ownership; and
Whereas, the members of the General Assembly would like to publicly recognize and commend this truly outstanding South Carolinian upon his receipt of this well deserved honor. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina congratulate Mr. Vernon Pottenger of Beaufort, South Carolina for being selected as the 2005 President of the Home Builders Association of South Carolina, a trade association representing over five thousand five hundred South Carolina Home Builders.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Vernon Pottenger.
