VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO RECOGNIZE AND CONGRATULATE JARRETT DONALD NAGEL, OF CHERAW, FOR OBTAINING THE ELITE RANK OF EAGLE SCOUT WITH THE BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA, AND TO EXTEND BEST WISHES TO HIM IN ALL OF HIS FUTURE ENDEAVORS.
Whereas, the rank of Eagle Scout is a tremendous honor that very few boy scouts ever achieve, and is recognized as one of the most prestigious awards that a young man can earn; and
Whereas, Jarrett Donald Nagel, a member of Troop 655 which is sponsored by the First Methodist Church in Cheraw, recently earned the rank of Eagle; and
Whereas, to attain the rank of Eagle Scout, each Scout must organize a service project in his community. Jarrett conceived and implemented the building of a nature center at Cheraw Intermediate School; and
Whereas, this project added signs, an entrance way, and split rail fence to a nature trail providing a place where students can observe and learn about wildlife in a native setting; and
Whereas, Jarrett is an extraordinarily well-rounded individual who also excels in the marching band, baseball, and other sports; and
Whereas, he is an excellent example of living the Scout Oath and is a role model in his community; and
Whereas, Jarrett has proven to be a humanitarian whose goal is not only to better himself through his work with the Boy Scouts, but also to better his community and future generations; and
Whereas, the General Assembly is proud to congratulate Jarrett Donald Nagel for all the hard work and dedication he put forth to earn the highest award in scouting. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, recognize and congratulate Jarrett Donald Nagel, of Cheraw, for obtaining the elite rank of Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America, and extend best wishes to him in all of his future endeavors.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Jarrett Nagel of Cheraw.
