AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 42-3-80, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE ADMINISTRATIVE DIRECTOR OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE DEPARTMENT OF THE WORKERS' COMPENSATION COMMISSION, SO AS TO TIE THE MAXIMUM SALARY PAID TO THE ADMINISTRATIVE DIRECTOR TO THE SALARY PAID TO COMMISSIONERS INSTEAD OF CIRCUIT JUDGES.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
Salary of administrative director tied to salary of Workers' Compensation Commission commissioners' salaries
SECTION 1. The first paragraph of Section 42-3-80 of the 1976 Code is amended to read:
"Section 42-3-80. The administrative department of the commission shall be under the direction of the administrative director. The director must be appointed by the commission, serve at its pleasure, and shall receive an annual salary not to exceed eighty-five percent of the salary paid to the commissioners."
Time effective
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
