A SENATE RESOLUTION

TO AUTHORIZE THE SOUTH CAROLINA STUDENT LEGISLATURE TO USE THE SENATE CHAMBER ON NOVEMBER 2, 2006 AND NOVEMBER 3, 2006 AND THE AVAILABLE MEETING SPACE IN THE GRESSETTE OFFICE BUILDING ON NOVEMBER 1, 2006, FOR THE ORGANIZATION'S ANNUAL MEETING, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE BUILDING POLICY AS ADMINISTERED BY THE CLERK OF THE SENATE.

Whereas, the South Carolina Student Legislature encourages the youth of our State to develop enthusiasm and appreciation for governmental and community issues; and

Whereas, the South Carolina Student Legislature has produced many great leaders throughout our State and nation. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That the South Carolina Student Legislature is allowed the use of the Senate Chamber on November 2, 2006 and November 3, 2006 and the Gressette Office Building on November 1, 2006 from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. If the General Assembly is in statewide session on any of these days, the Senate Chamber and the Gressette Building may not be used.

Be it further resolved that the South Carolina Student Legislature shall be granted access to and use of the Senate chamber in accordance with such guidelines and requirements as the Clerk of the Senate directs.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the South Carolina Student Legislature.
