A BILL

TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 51-3-52 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT A STATE PARK THAT HAS NO CAMPING FACILITIES AND THAT SHARES A LAKE AND OTHER PROPERTY WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES MAY NOT CHARGE USE FEES IF THE DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES DOES NOT CHARGE A FEE FOR THE USE OF ITS FACILITIES IN THAT PARK.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    Chapter 3, Title 51 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 51-3-52.    A state park that does not have camping facilities and that shares a lake and other property with the Department of Natural Resources must not charge use fees if the Department of Natural Resources does not charge fees for the use of its facilities in that park."

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect July 1, 2006.
