TO APPROVE REGULATIONS OF THE PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION, RELATING TO ELIGIBLE TELECOMMUNICATIONS CARRIER, DESIGNATED AS REGULATION DOCUMENT NUMBER 3124, PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE 1, CHAPTER 23, TITLE 1 OF THE 1976 CODE.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. The regulations of the Public Service Commission, relating to Eligible Telecommunications Carrier, designated as Regulation Document Number 3124, and submitted to the General Assembly pursuant to the provisions of Article 1, Chapter 23, Title 1 of the 1976 Code, are approved.
SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
In Order No. 2006-71, the commission granted the Office of Regulatory Staff's (ORS) motion to initiate a rule-making proceeding to determine whether multiple ETCs should be authorized and to develop a single set of eligibility standards for Eligible Telecommunications Carrier (ETC) designation.
