CONGRATULATING WILLIAM BRADSHAW FOR BEING NAMED 2008 DEALER OF THE YEAR BY THE AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL AUTOMOBILE DEALERS ASSOCIATION.
Whereas, William Bradshaw, owner of Greer-based Bradshaw Automotive Group, has been named 2008 Dealer of the Year by the American International Automobile Dealers Association. This award, presented by Newsweek Magazine, is given annually to a dealer for outstanding contributions to the community and the international automobile industry; and
Whereas, Bradshaw Automotive Group consists of eight automotive dealerships located in the Upstate and Asheville, and include Bradshaw Automotive, Bradshaw Infinity, Breakaway Honda, Bradshaw Chevrolet-Buick-Pontiac-GMC-Cadillac, Bradshaw Hummer, Saturn of Greenville, Saturn of Spartanburg, and Saturn of Asheville; and
Whereas, with thirty-seven years in the automotive industry, Mr. Bradshaw has been awarded the South Carolina Dealer of the Year Award, Time Magazine's Quality Dealer of the Year Award, and in 2006, he served as Chairman of the National Automobile Dealers Association; and
Whereas, Mr. Bradshaw serves on the Greenville Technical College Board of Trustees, holds Career Days for high school students, donates vehicles to local fundraisers, and supports the Greenville Children's Hospital, Meals on Wheels, St. Jude's Hospital, the Boy Scouts of America, March of Dimes, and the Urban League. His dealerships regularly conduct child safety seat inspection events and blood drives. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate:
That the members of the South Carolina Senate congratulate William Bradshaw for being named 2008 Dealer of the Year by the American International Automobile Dealers Association.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to William Bradshaw.
