AN ACT TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 6-11-325 SO AS TO AUTHORIZE A SPECIAL PURPOSE DISTRICT WHICH ONLY PROVIDES SEWAGE COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL SERVICES TO UTILIZE ANY METHOD OF FINANCING AUTHORIZED BY LAW FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF SEWER LATERAL COLLECTION LINES.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Financing construction of sewage collection lines

SECTION    1.    Article 1, Chapter 11, Title 6 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 6-11-325.    Notwithstanding another provision of law, a special purpose district which only provides sewage collection and disposal may use any method of financing authorized by law for the construction of sewer lateral collection lines within the district."

Time effective

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
