VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO CONGRATULATE AND HONOR THE SOUTH CAROLINA SOCIETY OF THE AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF MEDICAL ASSISTANTS ON THE OCCASION OF ITS THIRTY-FIFTH ANNIVERSARY.
Whereas, in April 1972, nineteen visionary medical assistants from Charleston, Greenville, and Spartanburg met in Columbia and formed the South Carolina Society for the American Association of Medical Assistants (SCSMA); and
Whereas, having grown in membership to two hundred eleven persons by 1979, the South Carolina Society for the American Association of Medical Assistants has continued to expand, adding various affiliates over the years; and
Whereas, today SCSMA is an active, dynamic, effective organization that promotes the highest standards of professionalism for its members and values and encourages good health and preventive care for the people of South Carolina through the practice of the members' profession as medical assistants; and
Whereas, the outstanding work of the South Carolina Society for the American Association of Medical Assistants over the past thirty-five years is deeply appreciated by the citizens of South Carolina and worthy of commendation. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate:
That the members of the Senate of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulate and honor the South Carolina Society of the American Association of Medical Assistants on the occasion of its thirty-fifth anniversary.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the South Carolina Society for the American Association of Medical Assistants.
