RESOURCES AND ENVIRONMENTAL AFFAIRS

To whom was referred a Bill (S. 1158) to amend Section 49-29-230, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, relating to scenic river designations, so as to designate a portion of the Catawba River, etc., respectfully

That they have duly and carefully considered the same and recommend that the same do pass:

A BILL

TO AMEND SECTION 49-29-230, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO SCENIC RIVER DESIGNATIONS, SO AS TO DESIGNATE A PORTION OF THE CATAWBA RIVER AS A SCENIC RIVER.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    Section 49-29-230 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding a new item to read:

"(9)    that portion of the Catawba River located between the Lake Wylie Dam and the South Carolina Highway 9 bridge crossing of the Catawba River;"

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
