A SENATE RESOLUTION

TO EXPRESS THE APPRECIATION OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA SENATE TO M. STUART MUNGO AND THE MUNGO COMPANY FOR THEIR EXTENSIVE CONTRIBUTIONS TOWARD THE BEAUTIFICATION OF LEXINGTON AND RICHLAND COUNTIES IN GENERAL AND THE COLUMBIA METROPOLITAN AIRPORT IN PARTICULAR.

Whereas, M. Stuart Mungo of the Mungo Company has been closely involved over his career in the beautification of Lexington and Richland counties; and

Whereas, in recent months, Mr. Mungo has directed an effort to raise private funds for the beautification of the Columbia Metropolitan Airport; and

Whereas, he has given large amounts of time and financial support to Irmo/St. Andrews beautification projects, including, but not limited to, Irmo Arbor Day; and

Whereas, the citizens of South Carolina Senate District 23, as well as those of Lexington and Richland counties at large, have benefited greatly as a result of the efforts of Mr. Mungo, and the members of the Senate take great pleasure in recognizing Mr. Mungo's generous contributions and in adding their thanks to those of a grateful constituency. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That the members of the South Carolina Senate, by this resolution, express their appreciation to M. Stuart Mungo and the Mungo Company for their extensive contributions toward the beautification of Lexington and Richland counties in general and the Columbia Metropolitan Airport in particular.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to M. Stuart Mungo.
