A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO CONGRATULATE MR. WARREN TAYLOR, OF SIMPSONVILLE, UPON THE CELEBRATION OF FIFTY YEARS OF SERVICE AS A JEWELER, AND TO COMMEND HIM FOR HIS OUTSTANDING WORK AND DEDICATION TO HIS CRAFT.

Whereas, the members of the South Carolina General Assembly are pleased to learn that Warren Taylor is celebrating fifty years of service as a jeweler to the City of Simpsonville; and

Whereas, his integrity and skill as a jeweler are known to generations of customers, and his reputation for excellence has stood the test of time; and

Whereas, Mr. Taylor began his career by attending GI School in Greenville, where the only opening available was in watchmaking and repairs, a class in which Mr. E.W. Pace, owner of Pace Jewelers in Greenville, was one of the instructors; and

Whereas, this providential opening and the training it brought led Mr. Taylor to accept a position with Mr. Pace on May 11, 1950, the beginning of a prosperous seven-year association; and

Whereas, in 1957, with the assistance and blessing of Mr. Pace, Mr. Taylor opened his own store, Warren Taylor Jewelers, in the City of Simpsonville, which he had come to love; and

Whereas, the completion of more than fifty years of service is worthy of notice, and the members of the South Carolina General Assembly join with Mr. Taylor's family, friends, and professional associates in congratulating him upon reaching this milestone and in wishing him much happiness and fulfillment in all his future endeavors. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
