A BILL

TO AMEND ACT 601 OF 1971, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO THE JASPER COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION, SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT THE MEMBERS OF THE BOARD SHALL RECEIVE AN ANNUAL SALARY AND A PER MEETING EXPENSE ALLOWANCE IN AN AMOUNT AS DETERMINED BY THE BOARD.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    Section 1 of Act 601 of 1971, as last amended by Act 278 of 1985, is further amended by adding a new paragraph at the end to read:

"The members of the boards shall receive an annual salary and a per meeting expense allowance in an amount as determined by the board."

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
