VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO HONOR FRANK M. HART AND TO CONGRATULATE HIM UPON HIS RETIREMENT FROM THE MARION COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION.
Whereas, Frank Hart is a celebrated educator in this State; and
Whereas, he has committed his career to improving the educational opportunities for the people of South Carolina; and
Whereas, Mr. Hart has served as a teacher, principal, and superintendent; and
Whereas, Mr. Hart has been sought by schools and school districts to provide direction and guidance as a manager and consultant; and
Whereas, Mr. Hart has dedicated his time to serving on numerous committees for his community, including the Secondary School Advisory Committee of the South Carolina State Department of Education, the Textbook and Curriculum Advisory Committee to the State Board of Education of South Carolina, the Advisory Committee to the South Carolina Education Television Commission, and the State Superintendent of Education Advisory Committee; and
Whereas, Mr. Hart has also served as Chairman of Evaluation Committees for the Southern Association of Schools and Colleges, Chairman of the Marion County Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse, Chairman of the South Carolina Advisory Council on Vocational and Technical Education, Chairman of the State Department of Education Advisory Council on Education of the Handicapped, and Chairman of the South Carolina State Board of Education; and
Whereas, Mr. Hart has been awarded many special recognitions, including Superintendent of the Year in 1983, Superintendent of the Year in 1988, the Community Service Award of 1990 by the Marion Chamber of Commerce, and the NAACP of Marion County 2004 Service of Education Award; and
Whereas, the Senate of South Carolina finds it fitting to honor a man of such integrity and dedication. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate:
That the Senate of South Carolina honors Mr. Frank M. Hart and congratulates him on the occasion of his retirement.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Frank M. Hart.
