The Senate assembled at 11:00 A.M., the hour to which it stood adjourned, and was called to order by the ACTING PRESIDENT, Senator LOURIE.

HOUSE BILLS RETURNED

The following House Bills were read the third time and ordered returned to the House with amendments:

H. 4129 (Word version) -- Reps. Funderburk, Umphlett, Hodges, Clemmons, Whipper, R.L. Brown and Weeks: A BILL TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 16-11-780 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT IT IS UNLAWFUL TO WILFULLY, KNOWINGLY, OR MALICIOUSLY ENTER UPON THE POSTED LANDS OF ANOTHER OR THE STATE AND INVESTIGATE, DISTURB, OR EXCAVATE A PREHISTORIC OR HISTORIC SITE FOR THE PURPOSE OF DISCOVERING, UNCOVERING, MOVING, REMOVING, OR ATTEMPTING TO REMOVE AN ARCHAEOLOGICAL RESOURCE; TO PROVIDE PENALTIES AND CIVIL REMEDIES; AND TO PROVIDE EXCEPTIONS.

Smith, Miller and McLeod: A BILL TO AMEND SECTION 12-21-3940, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE BINGO LICENSE REQUIRED FOR NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS, SO AS TO ELIMINATE THE PROHIBITION ON ISSUING SUCH A LICENSE TO A NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION THAT IS A NONPUBLIC, LIMITED MEMBERSHIP ORGANIZATION ESTABLISHED FOR SOCIAL, BENEVOLENT, PATRIOTIC, RECREATIONAL, OR FRATERNAL PURPOSES WHICH HOLDS A LICENSE TO SELL ALCOHOLIC LIQUORS BY THE DRINK.
