VERSIONS OF THIS BILL

TO AMEND SECTION 59-19-45, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO ORIENTATION FOR SCHOOL BOARDS OF TRUSTEES, SO AS TO REQUIRE THE ORIENTATION TO BE CONDUCTED BY THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    Section 59-19-45(B) of the 1976 Code is amended to read:

"(B)    The orientation shall must be approved by the State Board of Education and conducted by public or private entities approved by the State Board of Education such as the South Carolina School Boards Association the State Department of Education."

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
