The House assembled at 10:00 a.m.
Deliberations were opened with prayer by Rev. Charles E. Seastrunk, Jr., as follows:

Our thought for today is from Psalm 48:1: "Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised in the city of our God."
Let us pray. Our great heavenly Father, for the blessings and privileges of this week, we offer our thanks and praise. Watch over these, Your people, as they come to the end of the work week. Give them rest and refreshment on the weekend and renew them for service in the coming week. Look in favor upon those who lead us. Protect them from harm and use them as guides for the agenda of this session. Protect our defenders of freedom as they protect us. Heal the wounds of our brave warriors, those seen and those unseen. Hear us, O God. Amen.

After corrections to the Journal of the proceedings of yesterday, the SPEAKER ordered it confirmed.
