The House assembled at 10:00 a.m.
Deliberations were opened with prayer by Rev. Charles E. Seastrunk, Jr., as follows:

Our thought for today is from Romans 8:6: "To set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace."
Let us pray. God of grace, guide us by Your spirit each and every day, all the day long. Increase our faith and trust in You, and care for each of us in a special way. Give us rest on the weekend and strength for a new week of service. Be a blessing to our Nation, President, State, Governor, Speaker, staff, and all who support our leaders. Protect our defenders of freedom as they protect us. Heal the wounds of our brave warriors, those seen and those unseen. Hear our prayer, O Lord. Amen.

After corrections to the Journal of the proceedings of yesterday, the SPEAKER ordered it confirmed.
