The House assembled at 10:00 a.m.
Deliberations were opened with prayer by Rev. Charles E. Seastrunk, Jr., as follows:

Our thought for today is from Leviticus 19:2: "You shall be holy, for I the Lord your God am holy."
Let us pray. Holy God, give us the grace to live Your truth in every circumstance. We pray for those struggling with difficult choices. Come to the aid of all Your people who serve in this place, as they strive to do the jobs assigned to them. Help each to serve with joy and understanding. Bless our Nation, President, State, Governor, Speaker, staff, and all those who are led by Your Spirit. Protect our defenders of freedom, at home and abroad, as they protect us. Heal the wounds, those seen and those hidden, of our brave warriors. Lord, in Your mercy, hear our prayer. Amen.

After corrections to the Journal of the proceedings of yesterday, the SPEAKER ordered it confirmed.
