A BILL

TO AMEND SECTION 50-5-715(B) AND (C) OF THE 1976 CODE, RELATING TO TRAWLING RESTRICTION AREAS WITHIN THE GENERAL TRAWLING ZONE, TO PROVIDE THAT CERTAIN AREAS ARE CLOSED TO TRAWLING FROM MAY 1 THROUGH SEPTEMBER 15.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    Section 50-5-715(B) of the 1976 Code is amended to read:

"(B)    Those areas described in subsections (A)(1) through (A)(10)(A)(11) are closed to trawling from May 1 through September 15, inclusive."

SECTION    2.    Section 50-5-715(C) of the 1976 Code is deleted.

SECTION    3.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
