A SENATE RESOLUTION

TO CONGRATULATE SCOTT KREIN FOR BEING NAMED SOUTH CAROLINA EMERGENCY MANAGER OF THE YEAR.

Whereas, the South Carolina Senate is pleased to learn that Scott Krein has been named the South Carolina Emergency Manager of the Year at the South Carolina Emergency Manager Association Conference; and

Whereas, Mr. Krein has worked as Oconee's emergency manager for the past fifteen years, and added director of emergency services to his title two years ago; and

Whereas, emergency officials in Oconee and Pickens counties nominated Mr. Krein because is he very involved with all first responders in his community. He is a knowledgeable manager, and he is there to assist any emergency management office throughout the State; and

Whereas, South Carolina Emergency Manager Association President, Kristy Burch, praises Mr. Krein as an invaluable asset to the community. As a former Marine, Mr. Krein brings the principles and dedication of the United States Marine Corps to his work; and

Whereas, the Senate is grateful for Scott Krein's dedicated service to the people and the State of South Carolina and takes great pleasure in saluting him for being named South Carolina Emergency Manager of the Year. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That the members of the South Carolina Senate, by this resolution, congratulate Scott Krein for being named South Carolina Emergency Manager of the Year.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Scott Krein.
